In the 90s, researchers at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute wanted to prove a connection between genetics and violence. Specifically they wanted to prove that black people were genetically more violent. To check this, they bribed and coerced poor families into letting them use their children. Spoiler alert.
