Horny History: Robert Smalls and the Planter
It’s real history, as told by some horny dude in my inbox and me.
On May 13, 1862 a daring escape was made. 23 year old enslaved Robert Smalls sailed away from slavery right under the noses of the confederate soldiers. His escape brought himself and 16 other enslaved people to safety. Jay joins us now with his story.
Jay is a peculiar creature. Who would have thought that a man would want sexual favors and not a history lesson? Certainly not me.
Newspapers from Robert’s time repeated the racist thoughts that no black men could have thought of such an escape. They printed that white men had helped them escape.
Although many in the Union army still held racist views that we can get into at another point, getting to the Union brought Robert and his family to safety from slavery. Robert began a new career as a civilian boat pilot. His knowledge of the areas waterways and of confederate bases and codes, was invaluable to the Union army.
