Homeschooling Man Babies: Women. Can They Even Do That?
The one where they maybe, slightly, possibly learn
“She’s too emotional.” “She’s crazy.” “It’s her time of the month.”
There is a great deal of things women haven’t been allowed to do because of our reproductive systems. Our uteruses have long been the reason for discrimination.
Actually, some of us do have debilitating pain from our reproductive organs. I know many women who face life altering consequences from pain in this area. Thought of as normal, and ignored by male doctors, these issues weren’t investigated. Instead, these women’s pains were used against them, and against all women, as proof women couldn’t do the things men could. They couldn’t do them, because they were too weak. As for those whose pain actually was debilitating, no one cared enough to fix their problems, because the women who would care were barred from being doctors.
Often, the things that women were thought to be too hormonal to do, or too weak from menstruation to achieve, seem bizarre now. Will we one day look back and feel this way about how bizarre it was people thought a woman shouldn’t be president? Will future generations of these men understand?

(As a reminder I do not know these men. They are messaging a satirical Facebook profile of me as a conservative.)
For this story, I set out to find a man whose views matched those I’ve seen before from conservative men, that Kamala shouldn’t be president because of her reproductive system. She will be too hormonal. She will not be good at it because women are meant to be mothers, and nothing else.
(For legal reasons I can’t tell you which man I chose or if he’s even one of the ones above, but his views are just the same.)
At the very least, if he stops parroting these ideas, other susceptible men will be less likely to hear them and agree. Surprisingly, on my quest to find conservative men who don’t want a woman to be president, I also found many who were okay with it.
Excuse me while I be sappy for a moment. These men are still terrible, but they would be okay with a woman for president, as long as it’s an equally terrible woman on their perceived side, and that is something to notice. That change, from women not being able to have a higher education, to women being prevented from getting a job once they could go to college, to women not being able to be promoted, to women not being able to lead, to women not being able to lead the country, that change has been slowly progressing from the tireless work of women from the past. When you feel like your voice isn’t making a difference, think about that change. We fight for our future daughters.

To end things on a funnier note, some of my Facebook creator friends you might recognize have joined in the fun of trolling the conservatives on my bait profile, and they do so very well.
I’m working on updating my posts to be ready to publish in a book. Do you want your name listed in my book as a supporter? My $100 yearly subscribers will all be listed in my book. It takes time to create these, and although I wish I had endless amounts of time to spend on my passions, we all have to make money to survive. If I’m not making money on this, then I need to increase my work outside of this, and that leaves less time for telling history. When you subscribe you’re helping me support my family and helping me get closer to my dream of this being my job again. (If you’re new to following me, at one point I was monetized on Facebook enough to have it be my sole job, AND even enough to be able to donate a portion of page profits to domestic violence shelters and then later donations of period products. I hope to get back to this someday, but I’m just nowhere close.)
You can also subscribe for $5 a month or $50 a year. I appreciate all of you.
As always, I would appreciate you heart reacting this post for me. More engagement means more people might see my work. ♥️

Wow- you got this guy to actually learn something !! Way to go!!
Love that you told him about men shouldn’t be POTUS because they have a penis. That was awesome.
If you’re going to dislike someone, make sure it’s an actual REASON and not for a body part they have.
Love this. So much.
You are a hero. And I’m not throwing that word around.
Great work.
